The raison d'etre of this website is to provide you with hard scientific information which may help you make informed decisions in your quest for health (so far I have blogged concise summaries of over 1,500 scientific studies and have had three books published).

My research is mainly focused on the effects of cholesterol, saturated fat and statin drugs on health. If you know anyone who is worried about their cholesterol levels and heart disease, or has been told to take statin drugs you could send them a link to this website, and to my statin or cholesterol or heart disease books.

This study can be accessed at: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21237562

The study suggested that even low levels of fluoride exposure in drinking water had negative effects on children's intelligence and dental health.

The higher the exposure to fluoride - the lower the IQ and the worse the dental fluorosis.

Recipe of the day

Ingredients:
4 boneless, chicken breasts
Gerber Farms All Natural Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts, 10 LBS!
Food Mall: Chicken Breasts
1 cup picante sauce

Instructions:
Marinate chicken in picante sauce for about 5 hours in the refrigerator (or longer if desired). Place on grill when hot enough. Brush marinade on chicken, turn after five minutes and brush marinade on other side. Do not use the marinade after the first few minutes, because the marinade could contain raw chicken juices. Chicken takes about 15 minutes to cook, until no longer pink inside.
